LEGO Batman

I haven’t really played with LEGOs since. . . well, since I played with pogs. But thankfully, the LEGO Star Wars video game series came out and ended up not making a mockery of Star Wars. It blended the natural humor of the epic saga with the trademark darkness, and it did it well. With LEGOs.
The LEGO Batman game seems to be headed in the same direction, and I have every confidence that it will be just as good. It would be easy to just try and mimic the campiness of the 60’s TV show, but the creators seem intent to retain the modern look of the Dark Knight. And like Star Wars, there is a natural humor to Batman. Dressing up like a bat and fighting crime sounds completely ridiculous on the surface, just as we don’t expect a sadistic clown killer to tell knock-knock jokes before taking his next victim. Let’s call it black humor.
So, we’re all decided then. We’re going to buy LEGO Batman. We just need to get a PS3 first. . .

The LEGO Batman game looks like it will be just as good or better than the other LEGO games. In particular, I think the graphics will be the best yet.
