What Would Batman Do?

So, clearly I’m not too excited about the new movie Star Wars: The Clone Wars , but in less than a month we will be treated with, what might be, the greatest Star Wars video game in the history of man.  I’m talking about Star Wars: The Force Unleashed , a game with some minimal direction from Darth Lucas and an entirely new gaming engine that will make you wonder whether you’re watching a cut scene or actually playing the game.

The story will revolve around Darth Vader’s secret apprentice before Episode IV: A New Hope.  As the mysterious “Starkiller” (any relation to Bendak Starkiller of Knights of the Old Republic?) you’re on a mission from Vader himself to kick a lot of ass and take a lot of names.  The screenshots actually show the apprentice taking on some Stormtroopers and AT-STs, so it’s apparent that something happens to make Starkiller go against the Empire.

We’ll have to wait until September 16 to find out more.  Until then, mind-blowing trailer here:
