Green Means Go

It’s official. We can all start to get our hopes up now.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Warner Brothers has given the green light to the Green Lantern movie and will begin pre-production in Australia (because apparently their dollar is even weaker than ours) in July of this year. Filming is said to start in November, and the movie should be released in December 2010. And February 2014 is when we’ll finally give up hope of Green Lantern ever being made (insert constantly disappointed emoticon).
But there are some great names being thrown around for this project. Chris Pine is still in the running to play Hal Jordan, and Martin Campbell is rumored to direct. The good news is that Campbell is also the man responsible for Casino Royale. The bad news is that Campbell is also the man responsible for The Legend of Zorro.
So, we’re going to have to get a new poll up here soon or, at the very least, a scandalous Elisha Cuthbert wallpaper.
